Veterans Day 5K Beach Run/1 Mile Walk

Join Us to Support Our Veterans

We invite you and your family to a meaningful Veterans Day event along the beautiful shoreline of Saint Simons Island, honoring those who’ve served and confronting a crisis we cannot ignore.

Veterans' Crisis

• Daily Loss: Every single day, 22 veterans die by suicide.
• Individual Stories: These are not just numbers: they are parents, children, siblings, and friends.
• Invisible Wounds: Many return from service carrying both visible and invisible wounds such as PTSD and TBI.
• Community Needs: Returning to civilian life is not always easy for veterans, often lacking necessary resources.

Event Partnership

Fairways for Freedom®, in partnership with SSI VFW Post 4092, is working to change that. Proceeds from this event will directly fund local programs that help combat-injured veterans reconnect, recover, and rebuild their lives using innovative, holistic approaches through several ways, including the healing power of golf.

Run for Awareness

This event is more than a run. It’s a commitment to raise awareness, fight stigma, and save lives. STAND with us! Lace up for LIFE! Together, we can ensure NO veteran fights their battles alone!

Registration

• Included: All entries include a T-shirt and a finisher medal.
• Early Bird Pricing: Register by September 7th: 5K Race: $30, 1 Mile Walk: $30, Children Under 12: $20.
• Post Early Registration: Starting September 8th: prices increase to 5K Race: $35, 1 Mile Walk: $35, Children Under 12: $25.
• Donations: 100% of entry fees and donations go directly to Fairways for Freedom®.

Race Day Schedule

• 7:00 am: Race Day - Registration Opens Electronic Reg only.
• 7:45 am: Registration Closes. Head to the Starting line.
• 8:00 am: Event Start Time.
• 9:15 am: Prizes will be drawn at the end of event.

Pre-Registration Bib Pick Up

• Date: Monday, November 3, through Friday, November 7, at Game Changers Running Company.
• Day of Run: 7:00 am - 7:45 am, via QR code at registration table.
