📝 Race Day Registration

• Timing: Race day sign-ups are available onsite from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM.
• Cost: $50 (cash or check only) — please make checks payable to KRR.
• Inclusions: Race day registration does not include a race shirt or sweatshirt.
• Pre-registration: Want to save time? Register online.

📦 Packet Pickup

Packet will include your bib, shirt and pins and can be picked up on race day from 9:30 am to 10:45 am. The location for pickup is at Kickapoo State Park Maintenance Building.

Kickapoo State Recreation Area Take I-74 to exit 210 and follow the signs to the park. Address is: 10906 Kickapoo Park Rd, Oakwood IL 61858.

⏰ Start Times

11:00 am

⏳ Race Time Limit

The course officially closes at 1:00 PM. Participants finishing after this time will not receive a finisher award and will continue at their own risk. To earn your finisher award, be sure to cross the line before then—after that, you’re welcome to continue, but support will be limited.

🏞️ Course Overview

The 7.45-mile course is 95% trail, and heads east out of the park before turning into the woods, where the adventure really begins. You will climb and descend steep hills, cross creeks and bridges, and if you are lucky, see some deer and other wildlife. This is a scenic and challenging run.

Due to the weather and time of year there are no aid stations on this course, so pack your race day essentials accordingly.

Please note: Camping is not available at Kickapoo State Recreation Area during this time of year. Plan accordingly and explore nearby lodging options if you’re staying overnight!
