2025 Main Street Mile Kids Run

Run, jog, skip, or dance your way into the holiday season!

Get ready, Longmont — the most festive mile of the year is BACK and brighter than ever! Join Shoes & Brews and the Longmont Downtown Development Authority (LDDA) for our annual Main Street Mile Kids Run, the holly-jolliest kickoff to Longmont Lights.

Whether you run, wiggle, hop, shuffle, or twirl, this merry mile is open to all ages, all speeds, and all levels of sparkle. Before the Longmont Lights Parade takes over downtown, you’ll get to glide down Main Street in full holiday glory — and support an incredible cause while you’re at it.

Suggested Donation

• Amount: $10 per participant
• Support: Every dollar supports Colorado Kids Belong, a local organization making life brighter for kids in foster care.
• Mission: Raising awareness, connecting communities, and supporting foster families.

What’s Included This Year

• Distance: A festive ~1-mile run/walk down Main Street under the twinkling holiday lights
• Race Bib: Official Shoes & Brews race bib
• Goodie Bag: Packed with snacks and meals from Cane's and Juice from Natalie's Orchard Island Juice.
• Finish Line: Hot chocolate bar and holiday snacks at the finish line (S&B tent near corner of Main & Longs Peak)

Pre-Race Packet Pickup

• Location: Shoes & Brews
• Date: Friday, Dec 12
• Time: 2–8 PM

Race Day Details

• Check-in & Registration: Corner of Main and Longs Peak near Cheba Hut Parking Lot
• Opens: 3:45 PM
• Warm-up & Stretches: 4:15 PM
• Run/Walk Start: 4:30 PM

Course & After-Party

• Course: Down the west side of Main to 3rd Ave → quick U-turn → finish on the east side at Longs Peak Ave
• After-Party: Hot chocolate bar and snacks at Cheba Hut — the perfect pre-parade warm-up!

Registration

• Online Registration: Highly encouraged!
• Day-of Registration: Opens at 3:30 PM at the S&B tent in the Cheba Hut lot.

Participation Details

• Individual Registration: Each participant — kids and adults! — registers individually.
• Kids: Receive: bib, goodie bag and after-race snacks/drinks
• Adults: Receive: fun times
• Donation: Suggested Donation: $10 per participant (online or day-of)
