Description
It’s back! (and hopefully back for good!) After a 7 year pause and a change of ownership, The Deer Lake trail run is back. The former Deer Lake Scout camp is now the Deer Lake Outdoor Center: a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Come to rural Killingworth CT to run (or hike) the Deer Lake Trail Run. The challenging 5(ish)-mile course (involving almost 500 ft of elevation gain!) traverses the 253-acre property and offers many scenic views as you navigate the ever-changing elevations on well-marked trails that span the property. This is a true trail course and the technical nature of the terrain will mean that you will be exposed to rocks, roots, possible mud, etc. There will be awards for male & female winners of numerous age groups as well as the overall male & female winners. T-Shirts guaranteed for the first 100 entries.
ENTRY FEES
- Early Bird Price: $30 through March 15th
- Regular Price: $35 March 15th - April 15th noon
- Late Registration: $40 April 15th - April 25th noon
- Race Day: $45 (cash or check ONLY on race day)
AWARDS
Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners and the m/f winners for each of the following age groups:
- Age Group 1: 0 - 12 yrs. (Please note that anyone participating under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult along the entire racecourse)
- Age Group 2: 13-19 yrs.
- Age Group 3: 20-29 yrs.
- Age Group 4: 30-39 yrs.
- Age Group 5: 40-49 yrs.
- Age Group 6: 50-59 yrs.
- Age Group 7: 60-69 yrs.
- Age Group 8: 70+ yrs.

- Registration: 8:00 am – 8:45 am
- Race Start: 9:00 am
