Event Information

• Registration Opens: September 15, 2025 at 12 a.m. EDT.
• Fees Increase: $20 for students and $40 for adults starting Oct. 15.
• Late Registration: Feb. 1, registrations will increase to $25 for students and $45 for adults.

Race Events

• Superintendent's 5K: Awards will be given for adult and student categories.
• 1 Mile Kid's Race (Timed): $18, open to ages 7 - 12.
• Kid's Dash: $18, open to ages 2 - 9.

About the Event

EdfFed’s Race for Education at the Superintendent’s 5K is a community event that promotes health and wellness in Miami-Dade County. Participants include children, parents, guardians, teachers, and administrators from over 200 M-DCPS schools. Proceeds from 5K race registrations benefit participating schools.

Since 2008, the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Foundation has connected tens of thousands of families at the Superintendent’s 5K. In 2025, 242 schools and 7,069 runners and walkers participated. Awards are given to overall male and female runners and runners categorized by age group.
