Village In The Valley is proud to host its Inaugural Sole to Soul Scholarship Benefit 5K Run/Walk, a community event dedicated to supporting local students while celebrating unity, culture, and wellness!

Event Details

• Date: Saturday, January 31st, 2026
• Location: Edinburg Municipal Park - 714 South Raul Longoria Road, Edinburg, TX 78542
• Time: 8:00-11:00AM

Purpose

All proceeds from this event will go toward the Village In The Valley Scholarship Fund, helping provide opportunities for deserving students to pursue higher education, ViVa’s initiatives, and programs that preserve and celebrate Black history in our community.

By participating, you’re not just running or walking, you’re investing in the future of our community! Whether you run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines, your presence makes an impact! Come be part of a movement that celebrates unity, supports education, and strengthens our community!

Important Registration Notice

Due to overwhelming support, ViVa’s Sole to Soul Scholarship Benefit 5K Run/Walk has exceeded our initial supply allotment. Please note:

• Race bibs: Race bibs and timing trackers are not guaranteed
• T-shirts: T-shirts are extremely limited and available while supplies last
• Finisher medals: Finisher medals will be awarded to the first 140 registered participants who complete the race

Virtual Participation Option

To ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate and support the cause, we are also offering a Virtual Participation Option. Virtual participants will be able to take part from anywhere: however, event bibs and items are not guaranteed for virtual registrations.

Registration Information

Registration remains open for both in-person and virtual participants who wish to support the cause and be part of this impactful community event. All registrations directly benefit the Village In The Valley Scholarship Fund.
