Conveniently located just two hours north of Atlanta, we welcome you to the heart of the North Georgia mountains for the inaugural Hiawassee Half Marathon &: 5K!

  • Half Marathon: 7:30 am
  • 5K: 8:30 am
• Time Limit: Half Marathon: 4 hour time limit (18 min 20 sec mile)

Course Information

Starting and finishing in the charming Hiawassee Town Square, this scenic road race showcases the beauty of our mountain-lake community. Both courses feature stunning views of Lake Chatuge, with the half marathon offering a full 360-degree tour around its sparkling shoreline. With primarily flat terrain and well-maintained road surfaces, runners of all experience levels can enjoy a smooth, fast course surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

• 5K: Registration $35 ($45 after January 31, 2026)
• Half Marathon: Registration $85 ($95 after January 31, 2026)
