as we continue an Easter tradition at

Brandi Fenton Memorial Park!

The Cottontail Dash is an untimed half mile fun run with an egg hunt along the route. All participants receive a finisher's medal and a shirt.

You are welcome to bring your own bag/basket or one will be provided for you. Eggs are handed out by volunteers so that everyone will come away with equal amount of eggs.

Parents who only want to accompany their children on the course do not need to register.

This event is limited to 500 participants.

To register by mail please complete and return our :Mail-in Registration Form! Please make checks payable to StartLine Racing. Mail-in registrations will be accepted until March 30, 2026.

Virtual Run Details :

Of course we want you to participate in the Hippity Hop event locally but we understand things come up. So, if you can't join us on race day and still want to run, get the medal and the shirt then you still can! Here is your chance to take part in this event no matter where you are! And of course, all prices include shipping! Please note that all items will ship following the event on April 4th.

8 &: Under, 9 &: 10, 11-13, 14-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 &: Over

Pre- and Post-Race "Runner's Brunch" (granola bars, fruit, water, Gatorade, etc)

Please note any race related items (shirts, medals, etc.) will NOT be mailed to those that do not attend.

Cottontail Dash :

Cottontail Dash is an untimed half mile fun run with an egg hunt along the route. All participants receive a finisher's medal and a shirt. You are welcome to bring your own bag/basket or one will be provided for you. Eggs are handed out by volunteers so that everyone will come away with equal amount of eggs. Parents who only want to accompany their children on the course do not need to register. :This event has a 125 person limit.

Depending on how many participants that register, we will be splitting the dash into 2 waves :to protect our littlest Cottontail participants. Ages 6 and under and ages 7 and older. Parents who would like their children to run together please choose one of the waves to participate in on race day.

Race Day Information :

Race Day Registration will be available beginning at 6:00am.

We accept cash, and credit cards on race day (checks are no longer accepted)

Prices on Race Day:
- Half Marathon - $90
- 10K - $60
- 5K - $50
- Cottontail Dash - $30

We welcome wheelchairs, strollers &: wagons.

No roller blades/skates, skateboards or motorized devices are allowed on the run or walk courses.

Leashed pet friendly

The course will take you through the open use trails (all asphalt and concrete), starting and ending at Brandi Fenton Memorial Park - meaning no need for transportation before or after the race just to get back to your car! :Please note - this is an open use trail system and does not close for our event.

Due to the common start/finish line, there is no bag check for this event.

This event will take place rain or shine. There are no refunds or transfers due to weather.

There is a 4 hour time limit for the half marathon and 10K distances.

Gatorade and Water will be available at all water stations.

Water will be located at:

Half Marathon - Miles 1.55, 3.1, 5.1, 6.55, 8.1, 10, and 11.55
10K - Miles 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65
5K - Mile 1.55

Restrooms will be located on the course at:

Half Marathon - Miles 3.11, 5.1, 6.2, 7.1, 8.1, and 10
- Restrooms at Miles 3.11 and 10 will be at Rillito Regional Park (restrooms directly next to the running trail)
- Restrooms at Miles 5.1 and 8.1 will be at Children's Memorial Park (restrooms directly next to the running trail)
