Frantic Frog Fall Sprint Triathlon and 5k

Event Overview

This is the 2nd Frantic Frog Sprint of the year. The Goose Pond Island Frantic Frog Fall Sprint Triathlon will take place at the Goose Pond Colony Resort, located in Scottsboro, Alabama on September 19th, 2026.

5k Run Details

• Added Event: A 5k Run has been included this year.
• Course: It will be the same course as the triathlon run portion.
• USAT Membership: You won’t be required to have a USAT membership for the 5k.
• Invitation: We invite all to come enjoy the beauty and challenge awaiting in our host Northern Alabama venue!

Packet Pickup

• Timing: Packet Pickup Friday 5 PM - 7:00 PM & Saturday 6:30- 7:30 AM.
• Location: At the grassy area just outside of the Docks Restaurant.
• Parking: Please park on the north side of the pool and not by the transition area.
• Race Day: Arrive early if picking up your packet on race morning to ensure a timely check-in.

Race Details

• Race Start: Frantic Frog Sprint race begins at 8 AM Central.
• Swim: 500 meter swim starting at the end of pier with a rectangular course & beach exit. Map Link
• Bike: 14 mile bike on an out & back course. Map Link
• Run: 5K run will be the same route as the triathlon run. Map Link

Athlete Amenities

• Race Packet: Race packets will include a race t-shirt and swim cap (must be worn).
• Event Insurance: Bald Eagle Events has enabled event insurance for your consideration during registration.
• USAT Info: ALL USAT RULES APPLY – Goose Pond Island Half Iron Distance Triathlon is sanctioned.
• USAT Membership: Participants must purchase a one-day license or annual membership to compete.

Awards and Policies

• Awards: Overall awards for top three male and female finishers & top male and female masters.
• Age Group: Awards for first, second, and third place in various M & F age groups.
• NO REFUND Policy: Bald Eagle Events has a strict NO REFUND policy.
• Event Cancellation: Policies in case of natural disasters are outlined for participant understanding.
