Frantic Frog Spring Sprint Triathlon and 5k

🏊‍♂️ Race Overview

The Goose Pond Island Frantic Frog Spring Sprint Triathlon returns to the Goose Pond Colony Resort, located in Scottsboro, Alabama on May 23rd 2026.

🏃‍♂️ 5k Run Addition

• New Feature: We have added a 5k Run to the event this year, for those that don't feel challenged to participate in the Triathlon.
• Course: It will be the same course as the triathlon run portion.
• Requirements: You won’t be required to have a USAT membership for the 5k.
• Invitation: We invite all to come enjoy the beauty and challenge awaiting in our host Northern Alabama venue!

📅 Packet Pickup Information

• When: Packet Pickup Friday 5 PM - 7:00 PM & Saturday 6:30- 7:30 AM.
• Location: Grassy area just outside of the Docks Restaurant.
• Parking: Please park on the north side of the pool and not by the transition area.
• Race Day Notice: If you are picking up your packet on race day morning, you will need to arrive early so that you can get checked in and won’t delay the start of the race.

🚴‍♀️ Race Details

Frantic Frog Sprint race includes a 500 meter Swim, 14 mile Bike & 5K run beginning at 8 AM Central.

• Swim: Will start at the end of the pier with a rectangular course & beach exit. Map Link.
• Bike: Will be an out & back course. Map Link.
• Run: Will also be an out and back route into campground & return to finish by transition. Map Link.
• 5k Route: The 5k will be the same Run route as the triathlon above.

🎽 Athlete Amenities

• Packet Inclusions: Race packets will include race t-shirt and swim cap (must be worn).
• Finisher Medals: Medals for all finishers.
• Insurance Available: Bald Eagle Events has enabled event insurance for your consideration in the event you are unable to compete.
• USAT Rules: ALL USAT RULES APPLY – Goose Pond Island Half Iron Distance Triathlon is a USAT sanctioned event.

🏅 Age Groups and Awards

• Overall Awards: Top three male and female finishers & top male and female masters.
• Age Group Awards: For first, second, and third place in the following M & F age groups: 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-55, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over & top 3 Clydesdale & Athena.
• Relay Division: Open Relay Division: Male, Female, and Co-ed.
• Refund Policy: Bald Eagle Events has a NO REFUND policy.

📜 Cancellation Policy

• Safety First: Bald Eagle Events in concert with local officials will make decisions based on safety first.
• Course Alterations: Courses and/or race segments will be altered as agreed to Bald Eagle Events LLC and local officials.
• Financial Feasibility: Each registered participant needs to accept the risk of his or her entry fee.
• No Refunds: There will be NO REFUNDS or free entries to future races.
