The Goose Pond Island Frantic Frog Spring Sprint Triathlon returns to the Goose Pond Colony Resort, located in Scottsboro, Alabama on May 23rd 2026.

5k Run Addition

• New Event: We have added a 5k Run to the event this year.
• Course: It will be the same course as the triathlon run portion.
• No Membership Required: You won’t be required to have a USAT membership for the 5k.
• All are Invited: We invite all to come enjoy the beauty and challenge awaiting in our host Northern Alabama venue!

Packet Pickup Details

• Locations: Packet Pickup Friday 5 PM - 7 PM & Saturday 6:30-7:30 AM at the grassy area just outside of the Docks Restaurant.
• Parking: Please park on the north side of the pool and not by the transition area.
• Race Day Arrival: If you are picking up your packet on race day morning, you will need to arrive early.
• Check-In Timing: Participants need to be checked in by 7:30 AM and transition closes at 7:45 AM.

Race Schedule and Details

• Start Time: Frantic Frog Sprint race begins at 8 AM Central.
• Swim Distance: 500 meter Swim will start at end of pier with a rectangular course & beach exit. Swim Course Map.
• Bike Course: 14 mile Bike will be an out & back course. Bike Course Map.
• Run Course: 5K run will follow the same route as the triathlon. Run Course Map.

Athlete Amenities

• Race Packets: Race packets will include race t-shirt and swim cap (must be worn).
• Finisher Medals: All finishers will receive FINISHER MEDALS.
• Event Insurance: Bald Eagle Events has enabled event insurance for your consideration during registration.
• USAT Rules: ALL USAT RULES APPLY – Goose Pond Island Half Iron Distance Triathlon is a USAT sanctioned event.

Awards and Age Groups

• Overall Awards: Top three male and female finishers & top male and female masters.
• Age Group Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards for age groups ranging from 12 to 70 and over.
• Clydesdale & Athena: Awards for top 3 Clydesdale & Athena participants.
• Relay Division: Open Relay Division: Male, Female, and Co-ed.

Registration Policies

• Refund Policy: Bald Eagle Events has a NO REFUND policy.
• Non-Transferable: Race entries are non-transferable between individuals.
• Cancellation Policy: Detailed policies regarding natural disasters and modifications can be found on the race website.
• Insurance Available: Please take advantage of the insurance option during registration.
