Frantic Frog Spring Sprint Triathlon and 5k

🏊‍♂️ Event Overview

The Goose Pond Island Frantic Frog Spring Sprint Triathlon returns to the Goose Pond Colony Resort, located in Scottsboro, Alabama on May 23rd 2026.

🏃‍♀️ 5K Addition

• New Option: We have added a 5k Run to the event this year.
• Course: It will be the same course as the triathlon run portion.
• Membership: You won’t be required to have a USAT membership for the 5k.
• Invitation: We invite all to come enjoy the beauty and challenge awaiting in our host Northern Alabama venue!

🎟️ Packet Pickup

• Friday Timing: Packet Pickup will be on Friday from 5 PM - 7 PM.
• Saturday Timing: Saturday from 6:30 - 7:30 AM at the grassy area just outside of the Docks Restaurant.
• Parking: Please park on the north side of the pool and not by the transition area.
• Early Arrival: If you are picking up your packet on race day morning, arrive early to avoid delays.

🚴 Race Details

• Triathlon Format: Frantic Frog Sprint race includes a 500 meter Swim, 14 mile Bike & 5K run beginning at 8 AM Central.
• Swim Course: Swim will start at end of pier with a rectangular course & beach exit. Map Link.
• Bike Course: Bike will be an out & back course. Map Link.
• Run Course: Run will also be an out and back route into campground & return to finish by transition. Map Link.

🎖️ Athlete Amenities

• Race Packets: Race packets will include a race t-shirt and swim cap (must be worn).
• Finisher Medals: All finishers will receive finisher medals.
• Insurance Option: Bald Eagle Events has enabled event insurance for your consideration.
• USAT Rules: ALL USAT RULES APPLY – Goose Pond Island Half Iron Distance Triathlon is a USAT sanctioned event.

🏅 Age Groups and Awards

• Top Finishers: Overall awards for the top three male and female finishers & top male and female masters.
• Age Group Awards: Awards for first, second, and third place in various male & female age groups.
• Relay Division: Open Relay Division: Male, Female, and Co-ed.
• Clydesdale & Athena: Top 3 Clydesdale & Athena awards.

📝 Policies

• No Refund Policy: Bald Eagle Events has a NO REFUND policy.
• Insurance Recommendation: Insurance is available during registration for your entry fees.
• Transfer Policy: Race entries are non-transferable between individuals.
• Cancellation Policy: Event Cancellation / Modification Policy details are provided in case of natural or community disasters.
