FEAR Trail Fest 2026

About Trail Fest:

• Event: FEAR Trail Fest is a 5 mile lollipop loop trail race in Lewis Morris Park in Morristown, NJ.
• Course: The course is run mostly on the Yellow Trail in Lewis Morris Park with a mix of rocks, roots, and some good climbs totaling around 600 feet of elevation gain.
• Start: The course begins with a wide section of crushed gravel on the Patriots Path before transitioning to single track for the full Yellow Trail loop.
• Participants: Everyone is welcome, including new trail runners, experienced veterans, and hikers, with a generous 2:30 hour time limit.

Sustainability:

• Cupless: Trail Fest is going cupless! Hydrapak will provide reusable cups for runners to use before, during, and after the race.
• Environmental Initiative: We are using hemp bibs instead of traditional PVC-made race bibs for a more environmentally friendly approach.

Logistics:

• Who: Everyone’s invited, limited to 120 runners (including new and experienced trail runners, hikers, and road runners).
• What: A 5 mile trail race!
• Where: Lewis Morris Park, Sunrise Lake Dr., Morristown, NJ 07690 (continue driving until you see the lot).
• When: Sunday, November 22, 2026 starting at 9AM.

Giveaways:

• Prizes: Root Runners will provide prize packages to the 1st and 2nd place male and female finishers.
• Shoes: Brooks Running will raffle off 2 pairs of shoes and provide shoes to the first overall male, female, and non-binary winners.
• Socks: Feetures has donated socks for a raffle.
• Race Belts: SPIbelt has provided 3 race belts for a raffle as well.

Course Previews:

• Previews: We will host three course previews, with dates to be determined as the race approaches.
• Meeting Point: Please meet at the picnic shelter on the map at 8:50AM to begin running at 9AM.
