Championship Details

Qualification for Nationals

• Sprint Triathlon: Qualifies for Sprint Nationals
• International Triathlon: Qualifies for Olympic-Distance Nationals
• Eligibility: Top 35% of finishers or top 5 athletes qualify.
• Dual Qualification: State Championships after June 1, 2026, qualify for both 2026 AND 2027 Nationals.

High School Championships

• Eligibility: Open to students in high school or within six months post-graduation.
• Exemption: Finishers in State High School Championship qualify for Sprint Nationals if age 15 or older by December 31, 2026.
• Open Participation: No residency requirement in California.
