• Date: Saturday, August 8th, 2026
• Location: 1201 S. Washington Ave, Lansing, MI
• Time: Race start at 9:15 a.m.

Race Description

• Event: Join us for the 16th Annual Hometown Power 5K Race. This is an accurate 5K on paved roads.
• Participant Perks: All registered participants will receive a tech shirt and finisher medal.
• Course: The course will run through city streets in neighborhoods around REO Town building and on the Lansing River Trail.
• Timing: The race will be chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted live during the race and on this website.

Proceeds

• Support: All funds raised will support Pennies for Power.
• Goal: Help families in need in the Lansing area pay their utility bills.

Pricing

• Cost: $25 until 8/5, then $30

Awards

• Categories: Overall awards to top male and female finisher, Masters male and female (over 40), Grandmaster male and female (over 50).
• Ages: Award to top place finisher in each age group.

• Race Day: Packet pick-up from 7:30-9:00 a.m.

• Options: Street parking is available throughout REO Town.
• Additional Parking: Available in the BWL lot near Cinnaire.
