- Motivation: There’s no excuse not to do the dam thing!
Marathon Details
- Starting Point: The marathon course begins at Mud Mountain Dam (elevation 1,400′).
- Route: Runners will follow a fully paved route through picturesque farmlands and forested areas, tracing the path of the Carbon River.
- Finish Line: The race finishes in front of the historic McMillin Bridge (elevation 200′).
- Elevation Change: The total net elevation loss is approximately 1,200′.
Half Marathon Details
- Starting Point: The Half Marathon begins in the scenic town of South Prairie (elevation 467′).
- Route: This route follows a gradual downhill path along the paved Foothills Rail Trail.
- Scenic Journey: Runners will enjoy a picturesque journey through farmland and forest, winding alongside the Carbon River.
- Finish Line: This race also finishes in front of the historic McMillin Bridge (elevation 128′), featuring a net elevation loss of 339 feet.
