🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

2025 marks the 32nd anniversary of the Capital City River Run—a compilation of family-friendly races that celebrate, build awareness of, and financially support Greater Lansing organizations that promote education, the desire to learn, and healthy lifestyles. This event series provides a premier racing experience, highlighting the natural beauty of Michigan’s capital city and adjoining rivers.

🌟 Community Impact

• Beneficiary: Impression 5 Science Center and its mission to provide children and families access to science exploration through hands-on exhibits and participatory programming.
• Annual Races: Include a Half Marathon, 5K Walk/Run, and the Sohn’s Kid’s Race.
• Participant Perks: All race participants receive a long-sleeve zip up and finishers medal.
• Timing: The race will be chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation and results can be checked on Playmakers.com.

👶 Children's Events

• Date & Time: The kids races will take place on Saturday, September 20 at 11AM at Impression 5 Science Center.
• Location: The one mile race will occur on the Lansing River Trail.
• Post-Race Activities: All participants will be invited to spend the day at the Science Museum and enjoy a pizza party after the event.

🚦 Main Races

• Start Location: The half marathon and 5K races will start on Michigan Ave in front of the Lansing Center.
• Course: Utilizing Michigan Ave and the Lansing River Trail, the races will end in front of Rotary Park in downtown Lansing.
• Race Day: Both races will start at 8AM on Sunday, September 21.

📦 Packet Pick Up

• Pre-Race: Packet pick up will take place on Saturday, September 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Impression 5 Science Center in Lansing.
• Race Day: Packet pick up will also occur at Impression 5 Science Center in Lansing from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
