Lighthouse 5k / 1 Mile Race Series celebrates its 16th annual running
8 AM Wednesday’s Summer 2026
at The Whalehead Club Corolla, NC
Date and Location
- Date: September 2, 2026
- Location: Whalehead Club, 1100 Club Road, Corolla, NC 27927
- Registration: Walk-up registration and pre-registered packet pickup/check-in is available race morning 6:50 - 7:50 AM at the race start line.
- Parking: There is plenty of parking and restrooms are located onsite.
Registration Fees
- Adult: $45
- Youth (17 & under): $40
- Inclusions: All entries include event t-shirt, finisher medallion and chip timing.

Event Highlights
This is a family fun event sponsored by Brindley Beach Vacations touring the historic attractions of the Northern beaches of the Outer Banks! Lace up your running shoes and see the sights.
- Cours: A Summer morning 5k run/walk through the Historic Village of Corolla Light.
- Scenery: Enjoy the sights of the Northern Outer Banks, including the WhaleHead Club, Corolla Light, and the magnificent Currituck Beach Lighthouse.
- Medals/T-Shirts: Unique finisher medals and t-shirts to all participants.
- Awards: Awards for the Top 3 Male/Female overall, the 1st place Masters M/F (over 40), and the 1st place Youth M/F (14 & under).
