Gold Rush Race 5K/10K 2026

The Tyrone Race Series presents The Gold Rush Race! 

The Gold Rush Race will be a 5K Walk and Run Events, Lenny The Leprechaun's Hill Challenge 10K Run & Kids Sprint Event that will take place over Tyrone's Annual Tyrone Irish Heritage Celebration on March 14th, 2026! 

Proceeds from this year's Gold Rush Race Event benefactor is Tyrone Area Food Bank!  Founded in 1978, the Tyrone Area Food Bank services clients residing in the Bellwood-Antis or Tyrone Area School District. The food bank is recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization by the IRS. The food bank is a 100% volunteer organization. The food bank is open Thursday mornings from 9-10:30 am, and in the evening on the 2nd Thursday from 5:30-7 prn. Clients are welcome to visit once per month. It is located in the Wesley United Methodist Church, 1200 Logan Avenue, Tyrone, Pennsylvania 16686.

Day of Event Tyrone Area Food Bank will be accepting food donations of Cereal and Oatmeal.  Bring a  box of cereal or oatmeal to be entered into a Giveaway! Thank you in advance for your contribution to the Tyrone area and surrounding community.

The start and finish line will be in front of Tyrone Armory.

Timeline of Events:

6:30 AM : Check in and day of registration will take place at Tyrone Armory 

• Address : 956 S. Logan Ave Tyrone, PA 16686

8:00 AM: 5K Run/Walk & 10K Run starts (Cutoff times for 10Ks is an hour and a half)

9:30 AM: Kids Sprint (50-100 Meter Dash)

Following 5K Run/Walk & 10K Run: Awards and Closing Ceremony

Timing: Miles of Smiles Timing Services 

Early Registration: Registrations may be mailed in or you may register on runsignup.com. Register by February 25th to be guaranteed long sleeve shirt.

Day of Race Registration: Race registration for the day of is only available from 6:30 AM to  7:30 AM Shirts will be on a first come, first service basis.  

Cost: 

Gold Rush 5K/10K Adults (18+):

• Early Registration: $30
• Day of Registration: $35

Gold Rush 5K/10K High School Students (18 years & younger): 

• Early Registration: $15
• Day of Registration: $20

Gold Rush Kids Sprint Children 9 & Under:

• Early Registration with long sleeve shirt: $15
• Early Registration with no shirt: FREE
• Day of Registration: Free (No shirt)

*Registration includes a long sleeve shirt and race goodie bag: Youth S-L & Adult S - 2XL

Cancellation Disclaimer: In the event of a cancellation of Gold Rush Race, all proceeds will be given to benefactor. 

Inclement Weather: We will be monitoring the forecast and in the event of inclement weather. Any updates will be posted on the race website and on the Facebook event.  We reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our control such as a natural disaster or emergency or as required to protect the safety of participants and staff. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. We reserve the right to change the details of the event without prior notice.
