Canoe Creek Triathlon & Races

Course Descriptions

• Triathlon: The swim is a half mile out and back open water course that begins at the main beach at Canoe Creek State Park.
• Bike Course: A 13-mile loop around the lake consisting of both flat areas and rolling hills.
• Run: A 5k run completes the triathlon in a loop around the park with rolling hills.
• Duathlon: The first run portion of the race consists of 2 miles (same course as the walk).

Duathlon Details

• Start Time: 7:50AM at the top of the transition area where the 5k and 2-mile walk starts.
• Transition: After completing the first run, participants will transition to the bike course.
• Bike Course: Complete the same 13-mile bike course as the triathletes.
• Final Run: Finish with the same 5k course as the triathletes.

5K Run

• Course: The 5k race is the same course used by the triathletes during the last leg of their event.
• Terrain: It covers a loop around the park with rolling hills.
• Scenic: A beautiful course for participants.
• Headphones: Due to safety concerns, please refrain from wearing headphones.

Registration Information

• Pre-Registration: The first 350 participants will be guaranteed a tri-blend t-shirt.
• Change Fee: There will be a $5 fee assessed for race changes.
• Online Closing: Online registration closes Friday, August 1 at 11:00AM.
• Day of Registration: Available from 6:30am to 7:45am at Canoe Creek State Park.

Race Packet Pick-Up

• Before the Race: Available at the Blair Regional YMCA on Thursday, July 31 from 12pm-8:30pm.
• Friday Pick-Up: Race packets can be picked up from 5am-7pm.
• Day of Race: Packets available at the registration area at Canoe Creek State Park from 6:30am - 7:45am.
• Contact: Please contact the YMCA for any inquiries regarding registration changes.
