Welcome to the second annual Kat Walk.
About the Kat Walk
- Mission: Ken & Kat Atwood are committed to raising awareness about encephalitis through communication and education.
- Goal: Their goal is to ensure others are best equipped to advocate for themselves and their loved ones.
- Impact: Encephalitis affects one person every minute, worldwide.
- Research Contribution: As a result of the Inaugural Kat Walk in 2025, almost $9k was donated to MAYO JAX specifically for encephalitis research!
Race Details
- Distance: The Kat Walk is an untimed, half-mile route along the Port Orange riverfront.
- Inclusivity: Whether you walk or run the entire distance or a few steps, you will be celebrated by a BIG Cheer Zone at the red-carpet finish!
- Accessibility: THIS is the Kat Walk for EVERY body without regard to physical limitations!
- Community Support: By registering for the Kat Walk, you are showing those who are directly and indirectly affected by encephalitis that they are not alone.
