• Fundraising: In the past 10 years, the Hero Hustle 5K (formerly the DBK 5K) has raised over $100,000 for the Kruid Charitable Foundation.
• Participants: Join our 11th Annual Hero Hustle 5K, a family fun run/walk event with over 2,500+ runners.
• Registration Benefits: The first 600 participants are guaranteed a custom race medal, race bib, and race t-shirt.
• Awards: Awards will be given to the overall top 3 finishers, top male and female master, and top 3 age groups for male and female participants.

📦 Packet Pick-Up

Packet pick-up will be available on race day.

🕒 Day of Event Schedule

• 6:30 am: Day of Registration Opens - Packet Pick-up Opens
• 7:30 am: 5K Run/Walk starts.
• 8:20 am: 100 meters Kids Fun Run - Kids get a finisher medal - FREE.
• 8:45 am: Awards Ceremony.
• 9:00 am: Party!

👕 Shirts

Each Registered 5K Runner will receive a race shirt. Sizes are not guaranteed for registrations on race day.

⏱️ Timing & Scoring

The Hero Hustle 5K is professionally chipped and timed. Awards will be given to the overall top 3 Male & Female finishers, and top 3 age groups for male and female participants. Age groups are as follows: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

Please park in the industrial area behind DBK: off Springview Commerce Drive.

• Course Length: There is a 5K course, which is 3.1 miles in the beautiful surrounding DeBary neighborhoods.
• Timing Method: There will be a clock and chip timing at the finish line to view your time.
• Shirt Policy: Only pre-registered runners that successfully complete the registration and payment process are guaranteed a free race shirt.

🚫 Refund & Transfer Policies

We appreciate your race registration. As the race brochure states, we are unable to issue refunds. All entries are non-refundable.

The race is a "rain or shine" event. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather. Umbrellas can pose a safety hazard to others, so please do not bring them.

We have a strict NO TRANSFER policy.

If you sign up after the first 600 runners, you will not receive a DBK custom medal and bib. You will however receive a normal medal.
