Event Overview
- Adventure: Experience nature and wildlife in this exciting 30K, Half Marathon, 8 Mile, and 5K trail run that meanders along Lake Apopka's shoreline!
- Location: Lake Apopka is located 15 miles (24 km) northwest of Orlando, and is the third-largest lake in Florida.
- Wildlife: The north shore of Lake Apopka is a haven for bird-watching, wildlife photographers, and nature lovers.
- Trail: The Lake Apopka Loop Trail covers more than 20 miles, providing opportunities for hiking and biking.
Course Details
- Starting Point: All events start and finish at Magnolia Park in Apopka.
- Wildlife Encounter: Participants will run on a trail where birds, alligators, and other wildlife are present.
- Trail Surface: The trail is mostly hard-packed limestone with scattered areas of grass, dirt, and gravel.
- Cupless Event: Participants are required to carry a water pack or handheld water bottle for hydration.
Race Distances
- 30K Trail Run: A challenging 18.6 mile out and back course with four hydration stations offering water, snacks, and supplies.
- 13.1 Mile Trail Run: New for 2027, this Half Marathon is an out and back course on the Lake Apopka Loop Trail.
- 8 Mile Run: An out and back course leading to the Historic Pumphouse on the Lake Apopka North Shore trail.
- 5K Run: An out-and-back run along the Lake Apopka North Shore trail.

Swag & Awards
- Participants: All participants will receive a long-sleeved mesh tech shirt and finishers medal.
- Overall Awards: Awards will be presented to the top 3 Males & Females plus Master winners in each distance.
- Age Group Awards: Awards are given in 5-year increments (10-14, 15-19, 20-24, etc.).
- Recognition: Participants will be recognized for their achievements in various categories.
Post-Race Food
- Refueling: A variety of salty snacks and warm food will be provided at the finish line.
- Food Tent: The food tent will offer bananas, chips, granola bars, cookies, sodas, Gatorade, and much more!
- Gathering: Participants are encouraged to enjoy the post-race festivities and refreshments.
