All participants will receive a chip-timed bib, a gender-specific singlet, a finisher's medal, and a post-race snack and beverage. All runners and walkers on the course MUST BE REGISTERED. Anyone running without a bib is subjecting themselves to a misdemeanor and putting the race in jeopardy. If you want to pace a child, spouse, or friend, you MUST register as well. BANDIT AND PACING RULES.
All participants in the 15K live event must be able to maintain a pace of at least 16 minutes per mile and must be able to finish in at least 2 1/2 hours.
For safety reasons NO pets of any kind are allowed on the course during the race. PLEASE LET RACE ORGANIZERS KNOW YOU ARE RUNNING WITH A SERVICE DOG AHEAD OF TIME by emailing us at flodashevents@gmail.com. Participants showing up with a dog will be kindly asked to leave the course. Service dogs will be allowed, and we ask that you please line up at the end of the pack. Jogging strollers are allowed on the race course during the event BUT be aware this is an off-road race and pushing a stroller may be less than ideal. ALL STROLLERS MUST LINE UP AT THE VERY BACK FOR SAFETY. Bicycles, skateboards, or any other non-authorized motorized carts or vehicles are not allowed on the race course during the event.
Aid stations will be set up at approximately miles 1.5, 3 & 4.6. This is an out and back course, so the 15K participants will have 5 chances to hydrate. Aid stations will have a combination of water/electrolytes and energy gels. More details will be posted closer to the race. Please always plan on bringing your own necessities to fuel and hydrate properly. You must carry your trash: please do not throw gels and bottles on the trail. Trash cans will be placed by the aid stations.
We always have our friends from Kroger delivery at the finish line ready with snacks and treats for our participants.
