Event Overview
- Back by demand: This is one of our favorite races, and we are thrilled to be able to make it happen again!
- Hurricane Impact: We have not been able to hold this race for the past 2 years because of the damage that was caused by the hurricane.
- City Approval: The city wouldn't allow any organized events until all repairs were complete.
- Honoring Veterans: Let's honor America's veterans with an event focused on supporting them!
Race Details
- Event Type: This event will be a fun run and will have a certified time for all distances!
- Scenic Route: The path is on the paved Courtney Campbell Causeway Trail on the southern side of the bridge.
- Elevation: There is a relatively high peak that each distance (with the exception of the 5K) will cover along the route.
- Beautiful View: It allows for a picturesque view of Tampa Bay, making it truly one of Tampa's most beautiful places to run or walk.
Distance Options
- Available Distances: There will be a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and 15.5-mile option for this race.
- Course Style: All distance runs will go along the south side trail of the Courtney Campbell Causeway, out and back style.
- Full Course: While each of the distances provides a beautiful view, only the 15.5-mile race will run the entire length of the Causeway.
Aid Stations and Support
- Hydration: We will have plenty of aid stations along the course with water and electrolyte drinks.
- Nutrition: There will also be food-type fuel for half marathon and 15.5-mile runners.
- Sanitary Conditions: We will ensure sanitary conditions for all aid stations, but feel free to ask questions about specifics.
Post Race Celebration
- Celebration Time: Post Race celebrations will be taking place at 10:30am.
- Location: Whiskey Joe's.
- Socializing: Please feel free to stick around and socialize!
