Comet 5k run/walk

🎉 Event Overview

• Support: Come support your Grand Ledge Comet Marching Band on Sunday, May 18th for the annual Comet 5k run/walk. Band members will play for you along the route!
• Refreshments: Water stations and post-race snacks will be provided.
• Family Friendly: This is a family friendly event: all ages and abilities are welcome!
• Location: Beagle Middle School, Grand Ledge, MI.

🚗 Parking Information

• Location: At Beagle Middle school, 600 W. South Street.
• Directions: Turn at Jenne street to South Street and pull into the Beagle parking lot.
• Note: The street (Lohne Drive) at the roundabout will not be open.

💰 Registration Fees

• Standard Fees: $35 through May 11th. $40 from May 12th to May 17th. $45 Race day.
• Free Option: Run for FREE - details HERE.
• Student Fee: Ages 18 and under only $25.
• Family Pricing: Register 3 or more people at the same time and save $3 per person. Savings automatically applied during registration.

• Overall Awards: Overall Male and Overall Female Awards - Gift Certificates.
• Age Group Awards: Medals for Male and Female categories.
• Age Groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+

👕 Race Swag

• T-Shirt: All participants who register by May 4th will receive a t-shirt.
• Availability: T-shirts available after that date as supplies last.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Early Pickup: Saturday, May 17th from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Grand Ledge Track Complex: 1121 Lohne Dr, Grand Ledge, MI 48837.
• Race Day Pickup: Morning of the race starting at 7:30 a.m.

📏 Course Details

• Start & Finish: The 5k run/walk starts and finishes at Grand Ledge High School track.

📝 Results

• Availability: Results available live and on this page after the race.

🎶 Proceeds

• Support: All proceeds from the event will support the Grand Ledge Marching Band.

🌐 Virtual Event

• Option: If you are unable to participate in person, sign up for the virtual event, t-shirts are included with registration by May 4th.
• Price: $40, includes shipping.
• Awards: There are no awards for the virtual event: however, you can enter your results after you complete your run/walk.

⌚ Timing

• Service: The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
