Event Overview
- Purpose: The Lace Up for Laura 5k walk/run fundraiser and Kids' Fun Run celebrates the life of Laura Cody McNaughton and her vision for health and wellness.
- Memorial: Laura died in a tragic car accident on June 28, 2018. Proceeds support local high school scholarships.
- Scholarships: Thanks to participants and sponsors, we’ve awarded $50,000 in scholarships so far!
- Inclusivity: The event is designed for families and participants of all abilities.
Race Details
- Kids' Fun Run: 8:30 am - Approximately 1/3 mile with COLOR RUN stations, BUBBLE stations, and a medal for all participants.
- Commemorative Gift: Participants will receive a complimentary commemorative LACE UP DUCK for the Springfield Area Parent Child Center Duck Run.
- 5km Race: 9:00 am - A 3.1 mile race for all ages and abilities, featuring professional timing and uplifting energy.
- Course Type: An out and back race on a scenic dirt road with minimal elevation change.
