The Princeton Mile

Join us on Saturday, June 6th for the 2nd Annual "Princeton Mile" road race!

The race will take place on Princeton’s historic Main Street, starting at the Apollo Theater and ending at Rotary Park, just in time to enjoy live music, food, and drinks at Rotary Club of Princeton's 5th Annual Shrimpfest!

The course is a straight line, fully paved city street. If you are looking to set a personal best time for a mile, this would be the place to do it. The course has been certified, and the race will be chip timed. The first race will feature “elite” runners who will be competing for a $1,000 prize which will be awarded to the first male and female finisher. Both male and female second place finishers will receive $750 and third place $500. In order to participate in the elite race, male runners must be able to run a mile under 4:30 minutes, and female runners must be able to run a mile under 5:30 minutes. The second race is open to anyone wishing to run and have fun! Anytime Fitness of Princeton will offer complimentary assisted stretching and body scans at the end of the race and Miss Betsy's will be handing out complimentary donuts!

All paid entrants will receive a race bib/chip, a Princeton Mile t-shirt, a Princeton Mile logo'd drawstring bag, as well as a custom Princeton Mile pin by A&M Products! Awards will be announced on the stage at Shrimpfest immediately following the completion of the second race.
