🏃‍♂️ Davis Labor Day Run

Make plans today to kick off your Labor Day with a run or walk at the 26th Annual Davis Labor Day Race! This event will be held on Monday, September 2 in Davis. We offer four races for this event: 5K (3.1 miles), 10K (6.2 miles), a One Mile Run/Walk for all ages, and a Kids 1/4 Mile Fun Run.

Entry includes a finisher medal and post-race pancakes. T-shirts are included with 5K, 10K, and One Mile entries. They may be added on to Kids Run entries for $5. 5K, 10K, and One Mile entrants will be timed and awards will be presented to overall winners as well as age group top finishers. In the 5K and 10K, special divisions are also offered.

📅 Race Information

• Registration & Entry to the Event: Register Online. "Deal Days" (15% discount) will be offered through 11:59pm June 17, 2025. 1M, 5K, 10K entry includes a Dri-Blend (polyester/cotton) short sleeved t-shirt (opt-out available), finisher medal, timing, post-race refreshments, and eligibility for awards. Kids Fun Run entry includes a bib and finisher medal: add-on a t-shirt for $5 if desired. Virtual division available: race packets will be mailed following the event unless picked up on race day.
• Start Times: Start times are as follows: 8:00 a.m. - 10K, 8:05 a.m. - 5K, 8:10 a.m. - One Mile, 9:30 a.m. - Kids 1/4 Mile Fun Run.
• Location: Downtown Davis, Central Park (Corner 3rd and C Street).
• Bib Pick Up: Race morning only, beginning at 6:30 am. We suggest arriving about one hour before your race start to pick up. Held near the start/finish line.

🏅 Course Details

• Course Maps: Both the 5K & 10K routes take place primarily in South Davis. The One Mile takes place Downtown.
• Medals: Finisher medals will be distributed to all finishers at the finish line. Overall, plus age group (1M, 5K, & 10K) and special division award winner medals will be awarded to the top three male, female, and nonbinary finishers per category. They can be picked up at the award pick up tent.
• 5K & 10K Age Groups: 5K: 9 & Under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, …, 70-79, 80-89, 90+: 10K: 9 & Under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, …, 70-79, 80+.
• Special Divisions: offered for this event in the 5K and 10K are: Adaptive Athlete, Cancer Survivor, College Student, Teacher/Educator/Education Support Staff (current or retired), Sacramento County resident, Solano County resident, and Yolo County resident. Each person may enter only one special division: if you qualify for more than one, you must pick just one. No special divisions in the 1 Mile.

• Overview: The One Mile run or walk, perfect for families not quite ready for the 3.1 mile distance, runners looking for a quick race, walkers, children, and everyone in between. Awards to top three finishers by gender plus in age groups of: Children: 8 and under, 9-12: Teens: 13-17, Adults 18-39, Masters 40-59, Seniors 60+

❤️ Beneficiary

The event benefits Cancer Champions, a nonprofit organization that provides nutrition, exercise, and mindset programming tailored to the unique needs of those battling or recovering from cancer treatment. Donations to Cancer Champions enable the organization to provide survivors with expert guidance to complement traditional cancer treatment. A Change of Pace and Cancer Champions both believe in the powerful and proven benefits of exercise, and we are very happy to be able to deepen our relationship in the name of health, fitness, and quality of life.
