Race Overview

Registration opens at Noon on Friday, August 14, 2026.

The Davis Turkey Trot is an annual run/walk taking place the Saturday before Thanksgiving each year since 1988. We offer multiple events and distances, with something for every age group and ability. On event morning, along with an enjoyable run or walk through Davis’ residential neighborhoods and greenbelts, participants enjoy our post-race expo, with refreshments and samples from vendors. Prizes for timed events to overall winners as well as the top three finishers in each category. Prizes to top finishers in special divisions for 5K, 10K, and Half.

• Sell-Out Warning: The half marathon sold out in 2025 - please register early.
• Dogs: Due to changes in insurance, dogs are not permitted on any of the race courses.

2026 Start Times

2026 times are subject to change and may change from the below:

7:50 AM - Half Marathon
8:05 AM - 5K
8:45 AM - 10K and 2 Mile
10:15 AM - 1 Mile (Timed, all ages)
10:30 AM - Kids Fun Runs (1/2, 1/4 mile + Toddler Trot)

Packet Pick Up

Pre-Race Packet Pick Up:

• Date and Time: Friday, November 20 from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm
• Location: Veterans Memorial Center, 203 East 14th Street, Davis, CA 95616
• Parking: Davis High School student lot or library lot, side streets
• Required: Bring your QR code to the check-in volunteer: you may check in family and friends.

Race Day Packet Pick Up:

• Time: 6:30 am onwards at Civic Center Park
• Recommendation: Arrive 60-75 minutes early if picking up race day packets
• Parking: Downtown streets or at Davis High School
• Required: Bring your QR code for easy check-in.

Divisions and Amenities

Entry Benefits: Chip timing, overall & age group awards, long sleeve, DryBlend (50/50) t-shirt, and a finisher medal. Age division awards three-deep in age groups. Prizes for top finishers by gender in special divisions in the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon.

• Eligibility: All participants must be registered.
• Children in Strollers: Free registration, receive a commemorative race bib.
• Special Division: Cancer survivors receive a special finisher medal.
• Age Groups: 5K, 10K, Half Marathon have 5-year age groups.

Race Details

Half Marathon: Begins at 7:50 a.m. and travels through Downtown Davis, the Cannery, and greenbelts. Water stops every two miles, minimum age is 15.

Strollers: Allowed but must start toward the back of the starting line.

Virtual Entries: Includes packet mailing, commemorative bib number, t-shirt, and finisher medal.

Kids Fun Run

Non-Competitive Run: Multiple distances available, with prizes awarded.

The following items are available during registration:

• Short Sleeved T-Shirt: Available in sizes Adult S to 2X and Youth XS-XL.
• Davis Turkey Trot Hat: Adjustable moisture-wicking running cap.
• Order Early: Items available while supplies last: all sales final.
• Mailing: Add-ons are mailed for virtual participants.

Please Note: All entries are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. Race insurance available through a third party for unforeseen circumstances.

If you cannot attend, participation may be transferred to the virtual division. Transfers can also be made to another person before the deadline.
