Join us in Gilroy, California on Saturday, August 22, 2026, for the Race2Unravel — a powerful day of ACTION in the fight against childhood cancer.

Event Features

• Race Options: 5K, 10K, and a new 5K Ruck Division.
• Support: Every step forward fuels critical pediatric cancer research.
• Participation: Honoring children still fighting and those we've lost.
• Community: Run, ruck, sponsor, or donate — every effort counts!

Youth Participation

• Age Groups: 5K Youth Ages 7–17 or 10K Youth Ages 9-17.
• Kids Fun Run: Ages 2–12, one lap around the park (just over ¼ mile).
• Parents: Welcome to walk or run alongside their child in the Kids Fun Run.
• Registration: Required for all participating in the 5K or 10K.

About Rucking

Rucking is a physical activity that involves walking with a weighted backpack, often referred to as a ruck. It combines the benefits of strength training and cardio, making it an effective workout for building endurance and muscle. Weight requirements are 30 lbs for men and 20 lbs for women, and rucksacks will be weighed prior to the start.

About the Course

• Starting Point: Begins at Christmas Hill Park (Ranch Side).
• Route: Winds through parts of the Uvas Creek Levee Park Preserve.
• Terrain: Mainly flat and fully paved, scenic run through beautiful areas.
• Signage: Prominent course signage and clearly marked turnaround points.

Important Details

• Registration Deadline: T-shirt is July 31st.
• Pets: No pets allowed.
• Cupless Race: Please bring your own water bottle.
• Strollers: Allowed, please start toward the back and give right of way.
• Registration End: Regular registration ends Friday, August 21st @ 3pm: Same day registration available until 7:30AM sharp.
• Medals: Top three male and female finishers will receive medals, along with participants in the Kids Fun Run.
