Race Overview
The Sandman Triathlon is one of Santa Cruz County’s oldest triathlons, having held its inaugural race in 1985, in the infancy of the sport.
Fundraising Purpose
The Sandman is a fundraiser for:
- Local State Parks: Supporting the upkeep and maintenance of our beloved parks.
- Lifeguard operations: Ensuring safety at our beaches and aquatic environments.
- Junior Lifeguard program: Fund scholarships for underprivileged kids so they can receive high-quality water safety education.
