🌳 Race Description

DeLeon Springs State Park is hosting the 3rd annual DELEON DASH 5K Run, taking place inside and around the state park! Come run, walk, jog with us through the woods, beside the spring pool, past the Old Sugar Mill, under the majestic oaks, and on the trails! Your support and participation will help us protect our beautiful spring, our history, and the fascinating flora and fauna of Central Florida. We encourage everyone to come out and join us for an invigorating run, followed by your choice of park activities for the whole family!! Enjoy the spring pool, nature trail, wildlife, boat rentals, playground, eco-history boat tour, a make-your-own-pancakes experience, visitor center, stand up paddleboards, and more!

• 02/07 – 06/30: $30
• 07/01 – 09/30: $40
• 10/01 – 11/08: $45

Note: We will run on sidewalks, paved roads, dirt roads, and unpaved trails.

Online Pre-Registration is open through Friday, November 7th at midnight

📅 Schedule of Events

• Early Packet Pickup and Late Registration: Friday, November 7th, 4 - 7 PM at the Christian Family Worship Center just down the road from the park at 265 Ponce DeLeon Blvd.
• Race Day Packet Pick Up and Late Registration: Saturday, November 8, 6:15 - 7:20 AM at DeLeon Springs State Park: 601 Ponce DeLeon Blvd.: DeLeon Springs, FL 32130.
• Race Start: Saturday, November 8th, 2024, 7:30 AM
• Registration Cap: 250 entries. Be sure to register soon!

This event raises funds for the Friends of DeLeon Springs State Park. Registration is final and there are no refunds for any reason. Thank you for your donation.

Please note that pets are not allowed at this event.

🎉 After the Race

• Jump: into the spring pool for a swim
• Walk: it out on the nature trail
• Stroll: on the dock to observe nature
• Make: your own pancakes at the Old Sugar Mill ($)

Other activities include renting a kayak to explore the spring run ($) and taking an eco/history tour ($).

• Timing: Chipped-Timed Race with Searchable Online Results

Participants will also receive downloadable pictures and a post-race snack.

🥤 Food & Water

There will be Water Stops with cups within the race course and at the Finish Line. Post-race refreshments will include healthy snacks and complimentary mini pancakes from Old Sugar Mill Pancake House.

🚗 Parking

Parking is available inside the park. Arrive before 7:00 am for complimentary entrance to the state park.

⏱️ Race Timing

The race will be professionally timed at the start and finish by Runner's High Timing and Race Management using disposable, electronic tags attached to the bib number. Please wear your bib number to the front, pinned at all four corners, visible, and unaltered. Results will be posted at the race and then online immediately following the race on the registration page.
