Event Overview

• Date: Saturday, October 17, 2026
• Location: 100 Sunset Drive, Wichita Falls, TX, Start/Finish line area in Lucy Park at the pavilion
• Events: Full Marathon, Half-Marathon, and 5K
• Spaghetti Dinner: Friday, October 16, 2026, from 5pm - 8pm, during packet pick up

Race Details

• Distances: Full Marathon (26.2 miles), Half Marathon (13.1 miles), and 5K (3.1 miles)
• Route: Scenic route through Wichita Falls featuring Lucy Park's natural beauty
• Park Features: 178 acres with mature trees, man-made waterfall, swinging bridge over the Big Wichita River
• Nature Center: Provides an engaging backdrop for all race distances

Organization Mission

• Home for Freedom: A local non-profit committed to constructing tiny homes for veterans experiencing housing insecurity
• Success: First tiny home completed and occupied by a veteran
• Current Projects: Tiny home #2 is already underway!

Funding and Impact

• Cost of Housing: Approximately $50,000 to fund one tiny home
• Included Expenses: Building materials, furnishings, appliances, and personal items
• Holistic Program: Participants in social services alongside a case manager

Registration Information

• Packet Pickup: All packets must be picked up on Friday, October 16, 2026
• No Race Day Pickup: Packets will not be mailed
• Packet Authorization: A representative can pick up the packet with a note of authorization
• Event Changes: Allowed until 11:59 pm on Friday, October 9th, 2026 under certain conditions
