Race Overview
Join us for the 55th running of the Journal Jog 8K — "Reno’s Oldest Footrace." Since 1969, this iconic event has been a proud tradition of the Northern Nevada running community, bringing generations of runners together in the heart of Old Southwest Reno.
Course Details
- Type: Flat, fast 8K course
- Route: Winds through scenic, historic neighborhoods
- Finish Line: Directly on the track at Reno High School
- Historical Significance: Oldest high school in Reno (original one-room schoolhouse was built in 1869)
Family Participation
- Stroller-Run Division: Allows parents to race with their child and compete for a top-three finish
- Main Division: All other stroller walkers join runners and walkers
- Junior Jog: A race for children to experience the thrill of participating
- Eligibility: Open to kids ages 10 and under

- Stroller Run: 8:05 AM
- Runners / Walkers / Stroller-Walk: 8:10 AM
- Junior Jog: 9:30 AM
