🎉 Event Tradition

• Community Event: Knoxville's oldest and most beloved community running event.
• 47th Running: 2024 marks the 47th running of this annual event.
• Family Celebration: Includes categories for mother/son, mother/daughter, father/son, father/daughter, wife/husband, and three generations.

🏅 Date, Time & Place

• Date: Saturday May 25th, 2024
• Kids Mile: Starts at 7:00 AM
• 5K and 10K Start: 7:30 AM
• Note: Start times are subject to change. Please confirm when race week communication is sent out.

🗺️ Course Description

• Route: Starts in front of Crafty Bastard on Central Avenue.
• Directions: Turns on Magnolia, Gay Street, Jackson, and back onto Central.
• Distance: 10K goes further out Neyland, both courses follow the same route.
• Layouts: Available for review here: 10k, 5k

⏳ Time Limits

• 10K Limit: Must finish within one hour and forty minutes after the last runner starts.
• Closure: 10K course closes at 9:15 AM.

💰 Registration & Entry Fees

• Registration Dates: Jan 25th-May 19th: 10K-$40: 5K-$30: Kid's Mile-$10
• Late Registration: May 20th-May 25th: 10K-$45: 5K-$35: Kid's Mile - $10
• Race Day Registration: 10K-$50: 5K-$40: Kid's Mile-$15
• Note: No refunds and no bib transfers.

📦 Packet Pick-Up

• Date: Saturday May 25th, Crafty Bastard 6:00 AM-7:15 AM
• Early Pickup: Thursday, May 23 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, Runners Market.

👕 T-shirts

• Style: Short-sleeved, unisex shirts.
• Shirt Policy: Registrants after May 10 will receive shirts while supplies last.
• Order Date: Shirt order will be placed on May 16 and no re-orders will be made.

🏆 Awards

• Categories: Awards to the top 3 Overall, age groups, and specialty categories.
• Special Awards: Top Masters (40+), Grandmasters (50+), Senior Grandmasters (60+).
• Age Divisions: Begin with 14 and under, then 5 year increments.
• Team Awards: For Mother/Son, Mother/Daughter, Father/Son, Father/Daughter, Husband/Wife, and Three Generations.

📊 Grand Prix Points Competition

• Participation: The Expo 10K/5K is on the 2024 Team Competition schedule.
• Points Awarded: Various categories and age groups accumulate points throughout the year.
• Eligibility: Participants must be KTC members and have volunteered for at least 3 KTC races.

🍽️ Post Race

• Refreshments: Light refreshments will be provided.
• Venue: Crafty Bastard will be open for a post-race drink.

🚫 Race Etiquette

• Restrictions: Roller blades, strollers, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the course.
• Headphones: Always discouraged in KTC events.
