Alpha Run

The Alpha Run is a fundraising event to support the construction of the new “Alpha Building” at Sunrise Christian Academy. The Alpha Building will be constructed in phases and will include a theater, a gymnasium, and a tornado shelter to serve both our school and community. This exciting new building will showcase our students’ God-given gifts. The Alpha Run includes a 5k race, 1-mile fun run, 200-meter race for the littles, an indoor pancake breakfast, and other activities designed to bring together students, families, and the community. The event will raise funds for the Alpha Building, while promoting local businesses, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and strengthening community connections. The event will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at the school campus in Bel Aire, KS.

Revelation 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end," says the Lord God. "I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One."

Events:

5k run/walk. Race for a win or enjoy a stroll around the Sunrise Christian Academy campus area! This will be a road and trail course. This chip timed event includes a bib, T-shirt, and indoor breakfast.

1 mile run/walk. Race for a win or enjoy a stroll around the Sunrise Christian Academy campus area! This will be a road and trail course. This chip timed event includes a bib, T-shirt, and indoor breakfast.

200 Meters kids' run (age 6 and under). Let little legs leap, lunge, and launch with lively laps! Watch your young runners dash to the finish and light up the crowd with their energy! Includes a bib, T-shirt, finisher’s award, and indoor breakfast.

Breakfast only – Come cheer on the runners and enjoy the indoor pancake breakfast!

 

Awards

Separate classes for Male/Female in the 1-mile and the 5k for the following ages:

7-9; 10-12; 13-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60+

Top finishers of the 5k and 1-mile race in each class and age group receive special medals.
