DESCRIPTION

• Event: Join the Seashore Striders in Laurel, DE for a fun 5k Run/Walk called the Broad Creek Bash.
• Previous Name: Formally known as the Broad Creek Bike & Brew, this year you can still bike or if you would rather run or walk that has been added to the festival.

RACE DATE & TIME

• Date: August 22, 2026
• Start Time: 9:00 am start for the Run/Walk

RACE REGISTRATION

• Early Bird Registration: $30.00 through August 9th at midnight
• Pre Registration: $35.00 August 10th through August 21st at midnight
• Last Chance Registration: $40.00, Race-Day Registration open at 7:00 am and will close at 8:50 am
• Online Registration: Registration will be done online through runsignup. All participants registered by Monday, August 17th will be guaranteed a t-shirt, while registrations received after August 17th are "first come."

TO BENEFIT

• Charitable Giving: Charitable Giving to benefit local non-profit groups.

RACE TIMING

• Timing System: Timing will be done by the Seashore Strider Event Production team and will be using the Chronotrack B Chip system.

RACE AMENITIES

• Finish Line: Finish line produced by “Seashore Strider Event Production, Inc.”
• Post-Race Celebration: Post-Race awards celebration & after party will begin at 10 am at Tidewater Park just .4m from the start/finish of the 5k.
• T-Shirts: Custom printed tech t-shirts.
• Awards: Custom awards.

AWARDS

• Awards Presented: Awards will be presented to the Overall Male & Female Champions, Overall Male & Female Masters (40+ yrs.), as well as the top three (3) Male & Female finishers in the following 10 age categories: 9 & under, 10-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
• Award Pickup: If you miss the awards ceremony you may pick up locally in Lewes at the Western Sussex Chamber.

REFUNDS/DEFERRAL

• Policy: The Seashore Striders have a "No Refund" policy.
• Options: However we make every possible attempt to please our client with the following options:
• Transfers: 1. Transfer to a future Seashore Strider owned event of equal value before the end of the current year.
• Donations: 2. Donate your entry fee to the charity associated with the event.
• Deferred Entry: 3. Transfer/Defer to the following year at the same event.
