OUR OFF-CENTERED RACE RETURNS!

Our off-centered race through Milton is back for another incredible year! Join us for our 19th annual Dogfish Dash on Sunday, Sept. 27th! This year, all proceeds will go to our friends at the Sussex County Land Trust, and though it’s the same race day you know and love, including yet another Recycled Costume Contest, and bringing back the walk for the dogs and their humans!

Registration is NOW OPEN for both the 5K(ish) race and our NEW 1.5 mile walk.

THE RACES

• When: Sunday, Sept. 27 from 9 – 11 a.m.
  • Note: Judging for Recycled Costume Contest will be at 8 a.m.
• Where: Dogfish Head Milton Brewery, 6 Cannery Village Center, Milton, DE 19968

• Registration: Dashers can register here for $50 for runners and $40 for walkers, which includes runner goodies such as a t-shirt, a reusable bag, and two beverage tickets (21+ only) to our post-run party. Stick around after the race to enjoy our draft beer trailer and activities from Sussex County Land Trust and other partners on-site during the post-run party.

• Packet Pickup: There will be no packet pick-up on the day of Dogfish Dash! Registered Dashers must pick up their packets at one of the following packet pick-up events:

PACKET PICK-UP EVENTS:

• Wednesday, Sept. 23 at Brewings & Eats from 4 – 8 p.m.
• Saturday, Sept. 26 at our Milton Brewery from 12 - 5 p.m.

Note: Bibs cannot be traded or transferred at any time and we cannot provide exchanges for t-shirts sizes, as these are ordered based on the sizes provided at registration.

RACE TIMING

• Timing: Timing will be done by the Seashore Strider Event Production team using the Chronotrack B Chip system.

RACE AWARDS

• Overall Awards: Awards will be presented to the Overall Male & Female Champion
• Masters Awards: Overall Male & Female Masters (40+ yrs.)
• Age Categories: Top three Male & Female finishers in the following 13 age categories: 13 & under, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
• Note: THERE ARE NO AWARDS IN THE 1.5M WALK.

RECYCLED COSTUME CONTEST

• Contest Details: Show up on race day with your costume made from recycled objects for a chance to win prizes! Materials will also be available at both packet pick-up events.

How the contest works:

• Gather Materials: Collect your recycled materials, or pick some up at our crafting night or packet pickup.
• Crafting: Finalize a costume idea (bonus points for a Sussex County Land Trust theme!) and get to crafting!
• Judging: Gather at the stage between 8 - 8:30 a.m. on race day for judging.

Winners Will Receive:

• Group 1st Place: Private Beer Dinner
• Group 2nd Place: Private Brewery Tour for up to 10 people
• Group 3rd Place: Private Brewery Tour for up to 6 people
• Individual Prizes: Dogfish Head x Grateful Dead LED, Dogfish Head Swag for 2nd and 3rd Place

BEER & BENEVOLENCE

• Cause: All proceeds from the Dogfish Dash go to the Sussex County Land Trust (SCLT).
• Mission: SCLT is dedicated to safeguarding the land and resources that make Sussex County special.
• Projects: Recent upgrades include expanded parking, ADA-accessible amenities, and trail restoration efforts at Stephen P. Hudson Park.
• Significant Contributions: SCLT has made major investments in local preservation and community activities.

OPEN WATER

• Hydration: Open Water is generously donating water for Dashers to re-fuel after the race.

JOIN OUR RUN CLUB

• Run Schedule: Every second and fourth Wednesday, join us for a 3(ish)-mile run through Rehoboth Beach at 6 p.m.
• Discounts: Runners receive 10% off registration now through September 1st, and those participating have a chance to win a FREE registration.

FIRESIDE CHAT

• Date: Friday, Sept. 25 at 5 p.m.
