DESCRIPTION

Join the Seashore Striders in Lewes for the 22nd annual Cannonball 5k Run & Walk. The Cannonball 5k is a flat & fast course through the Town of Lewes. The race will start and finish at the Lewes Historical Society with a beautiful course through historic Lewes taking in a course often called "the most beautiful race course in Delaware."

ABOUT THE CANNONBALL HOUSE

• Historical Significance: Sitting prominently on the corner of Front and Bank Streets, the Cannonball House has witnessed centuries of Lewes’ history unfold and served many purposes over its storied past.
• Resilience: After defiantly enduring a British Naval bombardment in 1813, the Cannonball House has now come to represent the mission of the Lewes Historical Society and Lewes' proud maritime heritage.
• Preservation Efforts: Following an analysis by the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS), the Cannonball House now requires extensive repairs and maintenance to ensure the sustainability of this beloved landmark.
• Community Support: Your participation in the 20TH Cannonball 5k Race & Trenny Elliott Memorial Walk helps raise funds to restore the legendary Cannonball House and keep it alive for generations to come.

RACE REGISTRATION

• Pre-Race Registration: $30.00 through Sunday, September 6th at 11:59 pm.
• Race Week Registration: $35.00 through Saturday, September 12th at 11:59 pm.
• Race Day Registration: $40.00 from 7:00 am - 8:20 am on site Sunday, September 13th.
• Registration Guarantee: Please ensure registration arrives by Monday of Race Week to be guaranteed an event t-shirt/swag.

WAYS TO REGISTER

• Online Registration: Register through RUNSIGNUP for convenience.
• Mail-In Registration: Download the form from seashorestriders.com, fill it out completely and mail to Seashore Striders: Cannonball 5k, 9 Gander Lane, Lewes, DE. 19958.
• Check Payments: Make checks payable to “Seashore Striders.”

RACE TIMING

Timing will be done by the Seashore Strider Event Production team using the Chronotrack B Chip system.

RACE AMENITIES

Finish line produced by “Seashore Strider Event Production, Inc.,” Post-Race awards ceremony within 20 minutes following the final finisher, custom t-shirts, custom awards, post-race refreshments at the station.

AWARDS

Awards will be presented to the Overall Male & Female Champions, Overall Male & Female Masters (40+ yrs.), as well as the top three (3) Male & Female finishers in various age categories.

REFUNDS / DEFERRAL

The Seashore Striders have a "No Refund" policy. Options include:

• Transfer: To a future Seashore Strider owned event of equal value before the end of the current year.
• Donation: Donate your entry fee to the charity associated with the event or to the Seashore Strider Youth Running program.
• Deferral: Transfer to the following year at the same event.
