DESCRIPTION

• Your Support Could Save Lives: Prostate cancer is the second most cancer among men worldwide. When one man is diagnosed with this disease, it doesn't impact that individual––it impacts entire communities.
• Event Host: Chief Meteorologist and prostate cancer survivor Paul Williams hosts the Walk 4 Prostate Cancer in September 2026 to raise awareness of the disease and provide support to families affected by a prostate cancer diagnosis.

• Location: Main Beach Parking Lot, North Side, Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes.

RACE TIME

• Time: 10:00 am

RUN RACE REGISTRATION

• Cost: $35.00 for 5k Pre-Registration through September 6th at Midnight; $40.00 "Race Week" Registration through Sept. 11th at midnight; $40.00 "Last Chance" Race-Day Registration (Registration will open at 8:00 am and will close at 9:45 am).

WALK RACE REGISTRATION

• Cost: $30.00 1m Pre-Registration through September 6th at Midnight; $40.00 "Race Week" Registration through Sept. 11th at midnight; $35.00 "Last Chance" Race-Day Registration (Registration will open at 8:00 am and will close at 9:45 am).
• T-Shirt Guarantee: Registration must be completed by Monday, Sept. 7th to secure a t-shirt; late registrants will be served on a "first come" basis.
• Mail Registration: Participants can mail their registration form to Seashore Striders C/O Prostate Cancer 5k, 9 Gander Lane, Lewes, DE. 19958. Please mail early to arrive by Monday, Sept 7th.

WAYS TO REGISTER

• Online Registration: Offered through RUNSIGNUP, the easiest and most popular way to register for Seashore Strider events.
• Mail-In Registration: Download a form from seashorestriders.com, fill it out completely, and mail it to Seashore Striders; 9 Gander Lane, Lewes, DE. 19958.
• Entry Arrival: Make sure mail arrives by Monday of Race Week to secure event swag. Check should be payable to "Seashore Striders".

RACE COURSE

• Description: The Prostate Cancer Walk & Run is a flat & fast out & back course in beautiful Cape Henlopen State Park.

RACE TIMING

• Timing Method: Timing will be performed by the Seashore Strider Event Production team using the Chronotrack B Chip system.

RACE AMENITIES

• Finish Line: Produced by Seashore Strider Event Production, Inc.
• Awards Ceremony: Held within 20 minutes following the final finisher.
• Custom Awards: Including printed t-shirts and a great post-race celebration.

AWARDS

• Categories: Awards will be presented to Overall Male & Female Champions, Overall Male & Female Masters (40+ yrs.), and the top three finishers in 16 age categories.
• Award Distribution: Awards will be presented within 20 minutes after the final runner finishes.
• Local Pickup: If you miss the ceremony, you can pick up at 9 Gander Lane, Lewes, or your award will be mailed for $10.
• No Separate Awards: There are no separate walk awards at this event.

REFUNDS/DEFERRAL

• Policy: The Seashore Striders have a "No Refund" policy, but offers options to transfer entries, donate fees, or defer to the following year.
