Hosting Venue

Katy Trail Ice House

• Location: Situated in the heart of uptown Dallas on the Katy Trail.
• Bar: Features a fifty-foot-long bar with fifty beers on tap.
• Seating: Awarded the best patio in Dallas with communal beer garden seating.
• Style: An Austin-style beer garden and restaurant.

The Run

• Events: 5K and 1M Fun Run.
• Route: Takes place on the beautiful Katy Trail.
• Water Stops: Available at mile 1 and mile 2 on the 5K course.
• Timing: Participate for fun and fitness!

The Swag

• Brunch Pass: Includes an American hot dog and a beer or mimosa for those over 21 (must bring I.D.).
• Firecracker 5K T-shirt: Sizes may not be guaranteed for late registrants: order ahead!
• Finisher Medal: All participants will receive this.
• Virtual Race: T-shirt and finisher medal will be mailed to virtual participants.

Packet Pickup

• Early Pickup: July 2nd, 2pm-6pm: July 3rd, 2pm-5pm.
• Location: At Playtri Dallas, Hillside Village Shopping Center.
• Race Day Pickup: July 4, 2026, 6:45am-7:45am at race site.
• Venue Address: 3127 Routh St, Dallas, TX 75201.

Race Day Schedule

• 6:45am - 7:45am: Late packet pickup.
• 7:50am: Canine Costume Contest Winner Announced.
• 8:00am: 5K starts (late starts not allowed).
• 8:05am: 1M fun run & Dog Walk starts.

Course Notes

• Music: Use of personal music devices is discouraged.
• Safety: Please respect all race personnel and other participants.
• Pets: No pets allowed in the 5K: welcome in the 1M fun event.
• Age Requirements: Minimum age for 5K is 6: no minimum for 1M.

Parking

70 valet parking spots available, plus additional parking in surrounding lots.

Awards

5K awards include:

• Top Finisher: Overall Male and Female.
• Masters & Grand Masters: Male and Female.
• Top Age Group: 3 top finishers in various age categories.
• 1M Fun Run: Not timed: no awards.

Timing

• 5K: Chip timed: participants must wear a timing chip.
• 1M Fun Run: Not timed.
• Visibility: Wear your bib visibly on the front for accurate timing.
