Hosting Venue

• Name: Katy Trail Ice House
• Location: Located in the heart of uptown Dallas on the Katy Trail.
• Amenities: A fifty foot long bar with fifty beers on tap.
• Awards: Best patio in Dallas with a communal beer garden.

The Run

• Distance: 5K and 1M Fun Run.
• Course: Will take place on the beautiful Katy Trail.
• Water Stops: Available on the 5K course at mile 1 and mile 2.
• Environment: Enjoy the scenic views while running.

The Swag

• Brunch Pass: All American hot dog and beer or mimosa for those over 21 (must bring I.D.).
• Firecracker 5K T-shirt: Register early to ensure correct sizing.
• Finisher Medal: All participants receive a medal upon finishing.
• Virtual Race: Participants receive a T-shirt and finisher medal via mail after the race.

Packet Pickup

• Early Packet Pickup:
  • Day 1: Thursday, July 2nd, 3pm-6pm.
  • Day 2: Friday, July 3rd, 1pm-4pm at Playtri Dallas, Hillside Village Shopping Center.
• Race Day Packet Pickup: July 4, 2026, 6:45am -7:45am at the race site.

Race Day Schedule

• 6:45am - 7:45am: Late packet pickup.
• 8:00am: 5K starts (no late starts will be allowed).
• 8:05am: 1M fun run & Dog Walk starts.
• 9:00am: Awards Ceremony.

Course Notes

• Music Devices: Personal music devices are strongly discouraged.
• Safety: Please be mindful of other participants and respect race personnel.
• Pets: No pets are allowed on the 5K: pets welcome in the 1M fun event.
• Age Restrictions: Minimum age for the 5K is 6: no minimum age for the 1 mile.

Parking

• Valet Parking: 70 spots available at the venue.
• Alternative Parking: Additional parking available nearby by the venue.

Awards

• 5K Awards: Top Finisher Overall Male and Female.
• Age Group Awards: 3 Top Male and Female Finishers in various age groups.
• Fun Run: The 1M fun run is not timed, no awards.

Timing

• 5K Timing: Chip timed event: each participant must wear a timing chip.
• 1M Fun Run: Not timed, bib must be worn visibly on the front.
