🎆 Race Overview

This race will sell out, please don't wait until the last minute if you wish to participate!

🏛️ Hosting Venue

• Location: Katy Trail Ice House
• Ambiance: The Ice House is an Austin style beer garden and restaurant, located in the heart of uptown Dallas on the Katy Trail.
• Bar Features: A fifty foot long bar boasts fifty beers on tap, ranging from Texas Domestics to Regional and International Imports.
• Award: We have been awarded the best patio in Dallas with our open seating communal beer garden.

🏃‍♂️ The Run

• Distances: 5K and 1M Fun Run will take place on the beautiful Katy Trail.
• Water Stops: Available on the 5K course at mile 1 and mile 2.

🎁 The Swag

• Brunch Pass: All American hot dog and beer or mimosa for those over 21 years of age (must be 21 bring I.D.)
• Firecracker 5K T-shirt: Runners who wait until the last minute may not receive the size they want or may not receive a t-shirt at all.
• Finisher Medal: All participants will receive a finisher medal.

🌐 Virtual Race

• Inclusions: Virtual participants will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal via mail during the week after the race.

📅 Packet Pickup

• Early Pickup:
  • Day 1: Wednesday, July 2nd, 2pm-6pm
  • Day 2: Thursday, July 3rd, 2pm-5pm
• Location: Playtri Dallas, Hillside Village Shopping Center, 6465 E Mockingbird Ln #358, Dallas, TX 75214.
• Race Day Pickup: July 4, 2025, from 7:45am - 8:45am at the race site Katy Trail Ice House 3127 Routh St, Dallas, TX 75201.

⏰ Race Day Schedule

• 7:45am - 8:45am: Late packet pickup and registration
• 8:55am: Canine Costume Contest Winner Announced
• 9:00am: 5K starts (no late starts will be allowed)
• 10:00am: Awards Ceremony at 10:00am

🏁 Course Notes

• Headphones: The use of personal music devices during the race is strongly discouraged.
• Pets: Per USATF safety rules, no pets are allowed on the 5K and 10K course.
• Age Requirements: Minimum age to participate in the 5K is 6 and no minimum age for the 1 mile.

🅿️ Parking

• Valet Spots: There will be 70 VALET parking spots available at the venue.
• Cost: Valet parking will cost $5 per car.

🏆 Awards

• 5K Awards: Top Finisher Overall Male and Female
• Age Group Awards: 3 Top Male and Female Finishers in multiple age groups.
• Fun Run: 1M fun run is not timed, no awards, just fun.

⏱️ Timing

• 5K Timing: The 5K is a chip-timed event.
• 1M Fun Run: The 1M fun run will not be timed.
