Run For Your Life: The Outbreak – Mission Update 🏃‍♀️

The outbreak has begun.

We failed.

Despite our best efforts, the formula was incomplete. Before we could correct it… the infection spread. Fairborn is no longer safe. Communication has been lost. The infected are everywhere.

But there is still hope.

Our scientists have identified the missing ingredient — the final piece needed to complete the cure.

Now, we need you.

Your Mission

• Retrieve: the missing ingredient and deliver it to Run Ohio Races Central Headquarters.
• Mass Produce: Once there, our team will mass produce the cure and begin restoring the city.

Course Warning

• Compromised Route: The route is compromised.
• Infected Individuals: Infected individuals are active and unpredictable.
• High-Risk Zones: High-risk zones have been identified.
• Stay Alert: You may be chased… you may be tested… you must not fail.

Objectives

Complete your laps. Protect the ingredient. Deliver it safely.

If you succeed… we save Fairborn.

If you fail… you become one of them.

Are you fast enough to survive the zombie apocalypse?

How It Works

Participants can choose to register as either a Survivor or a Zombie:

Survivors

• Flag Belt: Survivors will run the course wearing a flag football belt.
• Infected Zones: Along the route, infected zones will be clearly marked on the course map.
• Zombies: Zombies may be lurking in these zones, ready to grab your flags!
• Safe Zone: If you reach the safe zone at the finish line with all your flags intact, you officially survive the zombie apocalypse.

Zombies

• No Running: Zombies do not run the course.
• Capture Flags: Their mission is to stay within designated infected zones and try to capture flags from Survivors.
• Costumes: Costumes and creative zombie looks are highly encouraged!

Finisher Rewards

• Medal: All runners receive a finisher medal, whether you survive or get infected.
• Bragging Rights: Bragging rights included!

Course Details

• Infected Zones: The course will feature clearly marked infected zones.
• Safe Fun: Zombies are restricted to these zones to keep the event safe and fun for everyone.
