War Within Challenge: Honoring Anthony Salem

Race Overview

The War Within Challenge: Honoring Anthony Salem will take place on July 26, 2026, at the Tuscarawas Shelter in Firestone Park, located at 2620 Harrington Rd, Akron, OH, starting at 8 am.

Purpose

Honoring Iraq Combat Veteran Anthony Salem and everyone fighting addiction, PTSD, trauma, and mental health challenges.

Mission Statement

Some battles are fought within, but none should be fought alone.

Challenge Options

• Run: Participants can choose to run.
• Walk: An option is available for walking.
• Ruck: Participants can take part in a rucking challenge.

Distances

Choose from distances of 2, 4, or 8 miles.

Food and Refreshments

Free lunch will be provided from Zou’s Shawarma Shack.
