- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk Start: 7:40 a.m.
Community Impact:
Join us for the Rio Grande Valley's first ever Pride 5k! Hosted by the RGV Queer Run Club, the proceeds of this race will benefit South Texas Equality Project (STEP). The Pride 5K is more than a race. It’s a declaration of love and solidarity for the LGBTQ community. It’s a space we’ve built for ourselves and for each other rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to be seen and supported.
Registration Information:
- Fees: 5K Run: $25; 1 Mile Run/Walk: $15 (prices increase April 30th)
- T-Shirt Deadline: June 6th (After this date, shirts will be available on a first come, first served basis at packet pickup)
- Packet Pickup Location: Valley Running Co. (1701 Dove Ave W J, McAllen, TX 78504)
- Packet Pickup Time: Friday, June 26th from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
What’s Included:
- Chip Timing: Live Results (5K only)
- Finisher Medals: for all participants
- Race Shirt: included with 5K; optional add-on for 1 Mile
- Free Race Photos: available for participants
Awards:
Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers in the following categories: Non-Binary, Male, Female, and the top 3 finishers for Teens and Kids (17 years & under).
Additional Notes:
Participants are encouraged to go at their own best pace by running, jogging, or walking. All registered participants will receive a T-Shirt and medal. The top three winners of each gender category (female, nonbinary, male) will be recognized with an additional medal.
