Tobin Bolter Memorial Kids' Duathlon Overview

We are so excited for the Annual Ada County Kids’ Duathlon on Saturday, September 12th, now renamed as the Tobin Bolter Memorial Kids Duathlon to honor Deputy Tobin. We have some really fun things lined up for your kids and can’t wait for the big day. Below you will find some important event logistics and a map of the event, including the courses for each age group.

Parking Information

• Location: You can park in either the North or South parking lots.
• Access: Note that the North parking lot will not be accessible during the races.
• Volunteers: Volunteers will ensure that participants safely cross the street.
• Overflow Parking: The street can be utilized as overflow parking.

When you arrive, place your participant(s)’ bikes in the designated bike corral along the race route in the south parking lot. When they are done with their race, they will park them on the basketball court near the finish line.

Race Rules

• Helmet Requirement: All participants must wear a helmet any time they are on a bicycle.
• Race Packet: Each participant will receive a bib with timing chips attached in their race packet at packet pickup.
• Course Navigation: Instruct your children not to cross the start or finish line outside of their race.
• Trail Conditions: The courses are on trails with limited room for passing: designated spectator viewing areas will be available.

For parents of our 3-year-old competitors, who will mostly be on asphalt and will only do the running portion on the trail, if your child needs you to run the race with them for moral support, you are welcome to do that!
