• Purpose: In memory of Gene Bednarowski, proceeds support the Watervliet Track and Field Program.

Race Details

• Race Categories: 5K, 10K, and 1 Mile Fun Run
• Course: Through neighborhood streets, along Paw Paw Lake, and through the city of Watervliet.
• Start Times: 1 Mile Fun Run at 8:00 AM: 5K and 10K at approximately 8:15-8:20 AM.
• Age Groupings: Multiple divisions for 5K (10 and under to 70+).

Awards & Prizes

• 1 Mile Youth Race: Awards for the top 10 finishers, t-shirts for entries by June 26th.
• 5K and 10K: Awards for top 3 male and female in each division, overall winners, and t-shirts for early entries.
• Virtual 5K: T-shirts for all entries received prior to June 26th, mailed beginning July 6th.
• Fruitbelt Series: Counts towards completion of the series, special 20th-year medal for participants.

• Date & Time: July 3, 2027, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM
• Location: Watervliet High School cafeteria: morning of race at starting area from 7:00 AM.
