Race Overview

The Farmland Run is the Traverse City Track Club’s signature cross country event, held on a dedicated course across private farmland. A classic European style turf grass course awaits, offering a natural and challenging experience over grass, wooded dirt trails, and rolling farmland terrain.

5K Run

• Course: A true cross country style race over grass, dirt trails, and open farmland.
• Experience: This course delivers a mix of rolling terrain and natural footing that keeps things interesting from start to finish.
• Start Time: Both races begin at 12:00pm.

10K Run

• New Features: New for 2026, the 10K expands with additional distance and new sections of trail that have not been used in previous events.
• Route: The course runs in the opposite direction of the 5K, offering a fresh perspective and added variety for returning participants.
• Start Time: Both races begin at 12:00pm.

Festival Experience

In 2026, we are focusing fully on the run experience and what comes after. With everyone finishing around the same time, it creates a true fall festival feel with more time to relax, connect, and enjoy the farmland setting together.

1 Mile Kids Event

• Start Time: Begins at 11:30am.
• Participation: All kids receive a free small pumpkin to decorate after.
