CrossKnox 15K & 4-Miler

Date, Time, & Place

• Event Date: Saturday December 12th, 2026
• Start Times: 15K at 8:00 am, 4-Miler at 8:30 am
• Start Locations: Morningside Park for 15K, Tyson Park for 4-Miler
• Finish Location: Bearden Elementary School

Course Description and Highlights

• City Showcase: This event highlights the City of Knoxville and its fantastic greenway system.
• Route: The entirety of the route is on greenways.
• Greenspace Path: Morningside Park --> Neyland Greenway --> Third Creek Greenway --> Tyson Park --> Third Creek Greenway --> Bearden Greenway

Transportation to Start

• Bus Service: Buses will run from Bearden Elementary to the start lines beginning at 6:30 am.
• Parking Information: Participants who choose to park at Morningside Park or Tyson Park will need their own transportation after the event.
• Arrive Early: It is very important to arrive early to catch the bus from the registration/finish line to the start line.

Registration & Entry Fees

• Early Registration: May 25 - June 30 for $35 (15K), $25 (4-mile).
• Regular Registration: June 1 - Oct 30 for $40 (15K), $30 (4-mile).
• Late Registration: Nov 1 - Dec 12 for $45 (15K), $35 (4-mile).
• Race Day Registration: 6:00 - 7:30 a.m. at Bearden Elementary: $50 (15K), $40 (4-mile).

Race-Day Packet Pickup

• Starting Time: Packet pickup will begin at 6 am from Bearden Elementary.
• T-Shirts: Unisex sizing available, with limited supply for registrations after December 1.

Awards

• Categorization: Awards for 15K and 4-mile to the top 3 Overall male/female/open, top Masters, Grandmasters, and Senior Grandmasters.
• Age Group Awards: Awards to the top 2 in each age group and top 2 Clydesdale and Athena.
• Awards Pick-Up: Awards must be picked up during the awards ceremony: no mailing.
• No Cash Prizes: There is no cash prize for this event.

Grand Prix Points

• Point System: 2026 Grand Prix points awarded for both 15K and 4-mile.
• Eligibility: Participants must be KTC members and volunteer for at least 3 events.

Refreshments

• Post-Race: Refreshments provided for participants at Bearden Elementary School.
• Water Stops: Available at Tyson Park and the Corner of Sutherland/greenway at UT Rec Field.

Results

• Where to Find Results: Complete results will be available on the KTC Website at www.ktc.org.

Race Etiquette

• Course Restrictions: Due to insurance regulations, roller blades, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the course.
• Time Limit: The 15K course closes in 2 hours and 30 minutes.
