Event Overview
- Annual Event: The 40th annual family event includes a 3K Walk (7:30 am start) and 5K Run (8:00 am start).
- Prizes: Thanksgiving themed door prizes and awards will be provided.
- Fundraiser: It is the sole fundraiser for the Bowling Green Running Club's High School Athletics Program.
Eligibility for Financial Assistance
- Counties: Any high schools in the following counties are eligible to apply: Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, Metcalfe, Ohio, Simpson, and Warren.
- Support: BGRC hopes to aid programs that don't have enough funds to adequately outfit their Track / Cross Country clubs.
- Needs: Assistance includes items such as uniforms and equipment needs.
- Review Process: The BGRC officers and board members will review all applications and award as many as possible with the available funds.
Event Details
- Start Times: 5K event is a gun start / chip finish event.
- Participant Volume: Due to participant volume, separate start / finish locations will be utilized.
- Packet Pickup: It is strongly recommended that 5K participants pick up their bib chip during the early packet pickup.
- Avoiding Lines: Picking up bib chips early helps avoid long lines the morning of the event.
