Truman Days Race Series

5K

Participants of any age can take part in this 5K run/walk. All registered participants will receive post-race refreshments, an opportunity to win a prize in the post-race drawing, and a t-shirt if t-shirt supplies allow. All pre-registered participants are guaranteed a t-shirt in the size of their choosing at time of registration and swag bag. There will also be awards for top male and female finishers in each age group (under 10, 11-14, 15-19, and by decade after that). 

Pre-registration highly encouraged so we can guarantee your desired t-shirt size.  Pre-registration means registering on or before end of day June 29. Online registration will however remain open through Friday July 24 4:00pm.  Race day registration is also available in person. 

Participants ages 10 and under are free- you can sign up through this website and a full discount should be automatically applied. 

Logistics: The race begins on the west side of Truman Bus Service (332 S. 4th Ave E). Participants should park in the high school parking lot at 401 E 1st St. S in Truman to pick up race packet or register. Participants will then be bussed to the start line between 7:30 and 7:45.  The finish line is the high school parking lot.  

Packet pick up/race day registration starts at 7:00 am in the high school parking lot.

In the case of inclement weather making the race unsafe to facilitate, we will make every effort to postpone until later in the morning, but in the event that we have to cancel due to weather, no refunds will be given as the expenses will have already been incurred.  

1 Mile Trail Fun Run

NEW EVENT!  In an effort to have an event for each age group and to encourage new runners, we are adding a 1 mile trail fun run to the Truman Days Race Series. This event will immediately follow the kids' triathlon.   All registered participants will receive post-race refreshments and a t-shirt if t-shirt supplies allow. All pre-registered participants are guaranteed a t-shirt in the size of their choosing at time of registration.

Logistics: The race begins and ends at the high school parking lot. This cross country-style course will be marked, have a lead vehicle, and will essentially circle the school/pool.  

Packet pick up/race day registration starts at 5:00 pm at the high school parking lot (same as kids triathlon) and the race will begin at 6:00.

SPECIAL NOTE: 

If you would like to participate in both the 5K and the 1 Mi Trail Fun Run, you can register for both at a discount! (Unless you are under 10 - then both races are still free! Since the t-shirts are the same for all events, only one shirt will be given.)
