Race Overview
Giving Trees for Life, Inc. (The Festival of Giving Trees), is thrilled to announce the 4th Annual Tree.1 Walk and Run for Fun happening on Saturday, July 11th, 2026. This event aims to raise funds for the Silent Spring Institute, the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition, and The UMMH Cancer Center at Harrington Hospital to combat breast cancer, support cancer research, and help local cancer patients with financial hardship.
Race Day Schedule & Location
- Registration: Registration is online here on Race Day.
- Bib Pickup: Bib packet pickup begins at 7:00 AM with a 3.1-mile race starting at 8:00 AM.
- Location: GPS address: Sturbridge Town Common- 278 Main St, Sturbridge, MA 01566.
- Awards: Overall Female & Male Winners and Age Group Awards; Christmas costumes – prizes for best adult, child, and pet costumes!
Virtual Participation
For our virtual Tree.1; there is no specific location; just run, walk, jog, or treadmill from wherever you are! Do it between June 1st and July 4th. It's your 5K - do it at your pace. We will mail you your t-shirt and finisher medal!
Fun and Festivities
- Costumes: Christmas costumes are encouraged - prizes for the best adult, child, and pet costume!
Registration Details
- Early Bird Registration: $30 before May 15th - includes a t-shirt & finisher medal.
- Standard Registration: $35 after May 15th - includes a t-shirt & finisher medal, register early to be guaranteed a t-shirt and medal.
- Virtual Runners: $5 Shipping Donation Requested to defer the cost of shipping t-shirt and finisher medal.
- Day of Registration: $35 for all – t-shirts and medals ONLY IF AVAILABLE - NO GUARANTEE – register early!
